Renovated Late Fr Henry Castelino Memorial Auditorium was inaugurated at St Mary’s college Shirva on 05th October, 2019.
The renovation was done by St Mary’s College Alumni Association. Sri N. Vinaya Hegde inaugurated the auditorium by cutting the ribbon. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo led the prayer service and blessed the auditorium.
The programme began with prayer song by St Mary’s college students. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese; Sri N. Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University; V. Rev. Fr Denis D’Sa, Correspondent of St Mary’s College, Shirva; Prof. Rajan V.N., Principal of St Mary’s College Shirva; Prof. Ronald Moras, Chief Adviser of St Mary’s College Alumni Association and Mr K. Vishwanath, President, St Mary’s College Alumni Association were present on the dias.
Sri N. Vinaya Hegde unveiled the curtain in front of Late Fr Henry Castelino’s metal embossed statue and inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Sri N. Vinaya Hegde, V. Rev. Fr Denis D’Sa, Prof. Ronald Moras and Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo addressed on this occasion.
Mr K. Vishwanath was felicitated by the dignitaries. All college students, staff, former principals, lecturers, old students, members of the Alumni Association, Parish Finance Committee Members and Parish Pastoral Council Members were present on the occasion.
Mr K. Vishwanath welcomed the gathering and Mr Nilanand Naik compeered the programme.
