Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves took charge as Udupi Diocesan Coordinator of Pastoral Commissions, and Rev. Fr Leo Praveen D’Souza took charge as Diocesan Director of the Commission for Ecumenism at Bishop’s Chapel on 30th July 2023.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, conducted the prayer service and presided over the oath-taking ceremony held in the Bishop’s Chapel. Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves is also the Vicar General of Udupi Diocese and Spiritual Director of the Laity Commission. Rev. Fr Leo Praveen D’Souza is also the Assistant Priest of Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi. In his felicitation speech, Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo congratulated the new office bearers and wished them well in their new ministry.
V. Rev. Fr Roshan D'Souza, Chancellor of Udupi Diocese, was present. Pastoral Commissions in the Diocese are working towards the implementation of the Pastoral Plan ‘Mission 2025’. We wish the very best to Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves and Rev. Fr Leo Praveen D’Souza in their respective ministries.
