Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo, Bishop of Udupi, conducted his Pastoral Visit to St. Theresa, the Little Flower Church, Kemman, from the 25th to the 27th of May, 2024. Rev. Fr Philip Neri Aranha, Parish Priest of St Theresa, the Little Flower Church, Kemman, along with the parishioners, extended a warm welcome to the Bishop.

After the preliminary rites, the Bishop visited the cemetery and conducted a prayer service. He also conducted catechism on the Sacrament of Confirmation for the 31 candidates of the parish who were to receive the Sacrament. Then, he interacted with the Ward Preraks and Parish Finance Committee members.

On the 26th of May, the Holy Eucharist was celebrated with great joy, and 31 children were conferred with the Sacrament of Confirmation. In his homily, the Bishop emphasized the Jubilee 2025.

After the Mass, parishioners organized the birthday celebration of Rev. Fr Philip Neri Aranha at the church portico. Following that, the Bishop had a series of meetings with several groups, including the SFO, SVP, Sthree Sanghatan, Catholic Sabha, Missionary Children’s Association, Altar Boys, ICYM, YCS, and Parish Pastoral Council and Pastoral Commissions’ animators. In the afternoon, the Bishop attended the Small Christian Community meeting in one of the wards.

On the morning of the 27th, the Bishop celebrated the Holy Eucharist at Maria Goretti Convent, Kemman. After the Mass, he visited the sick of the parish. The Pastoral Visit concluded on Monday, the 27th, with a prayer service.
