Udupi :  Supatha – Career Advancement Centre of the Udupi Diocese organized Career Awareness Programme for PUC, Degree and Post Graduate students at Bishop’s House Hall here on Sunday, 17th August, 2014.

 

During the inaugural ceremony of the Career Awareness programme the resource person Robinson D’Souza of Chikmaglur, Rev Fr. Reginald Pinto  Director of Sampada, Diocese of Udupi and Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza Secretary of Udupi Diocese Youth Commission were present. Robinson D’Souza was inaugurated the programme with lighting the lamp with Fr. Edwin, Fr. Reginald and two students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Reginald Pinto welcomed the gatherings and gave introduction of resource person Robinson D’souza. Robinson born in Chikmaglur worked as Magistrate. Then he worked as Law Secretary. He also served as Secretary of Karnataka State Legislature in Vidhan Saudha. He is one among the two who has worked in all the three orders of Constitution – Judiciary, Legislature and Executive. He was Law Secretary during time of Cavery Dispute. He is the member of KROSS team at Bangalore.

 

The object of the programme was to provide basic awareness on getting government higher jobs. Robinson D’souza gave some slides how one can achieve goal in life with certain aim, goal, passion  and determination.  He said God shows the way to succeed. Poverty cannot suppress. Born in poor is not mistake but die in poor is mistake and failure in life. Fr. Reginald Pinto gave certain points to preparation for the higher studies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bishop Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo spoke in regard to the Diocese Pastoral Planning which providing proper guidance with proper channels to succeed in life in order to get higher jobs in government and civil offices. Bishop distributed scholarship for 18 PUC students of the diocese during the occasion. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza Secretary of Youth Commission who led the successful programme. More than 100 students of PUC, Graduate and Post Graduate students were participated during the awareness program.

 

After the invocation prayer, Fr. Reginald Pinto welcomed the gatherings while Teena Machado of Udyavar  & Vice President of ICYM, Udupi Diocese proposed vote of thanks. Rency Dais of Mount Rosary compered the program.
