Udupi : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Udupi Diocese Central Committee has unanimously elected Waylon Machado of Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur as President for the year 2014/15 during Annual General meeting of the office bearers’ at St. Mary’s Kannada High School Hall here on Sunday, 1st June, 2014. Meanwhile Wilroy D’souza of Shirva has elected as General Secretary.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prior to the election of office bearers’ for the next year, training programme for office bearers was held in the morning session which Rev Fr. Reginald Pinto,  Director of SAMPADA, Diocese of Udupi was the resource person.

Under the leadership of Rev Fr. Edwin D’souza Director of Youth Commission throughout the year various training programmes, seminars, Youth Fest and so on organized at unit level, deaneries level as well as diocese level. Diocesan ICYM members were participated state level, National and Asian level seminars also. Leslie Aroza of Thottam serving better for Diocesan ICYM &YCS/YSM as Coordinator successfully.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Holy mass was celebrated by chief celebrant Fr. Edwin along with Fr Reginald Pinto before the lunch break.

Newly elected office bearers  took oath from Director Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza which witnessed by Leslie Aroza and more than hundred ICYM office bearers of the diocese. Rev Fr. Fredrick D’Souza spiritual Ddirector of Kallianpur Deanery also present during the occasion.

Earlier Shaun Tauro welcomed the gatherings, Waylon Machado placed report for the year while Leslie Aroza proposed vote of thanks. During the occasion Leslie Aroza was felicitated by Rev Fr. Reginald Pinto. Leslie Aroza has been appointed by Bishop as Asst. Director of Family Welfare for Diocese of Udupi. Teena Machado compered the program.
