The Bishop of Udupi, Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo was on a Pastoral Visit to St Antony Church, Kuntalnagar from 06th to 07th January, 2024. Rev. Fr Wilson D’Souza, the Parish Priest of Kuntalnagar and the parishioners extended a warm welcome to the Bishop.
After the preliminary religious rites, the Bishop visited the cemetery and conducted a prayer service. Later the Bishop had a Catechism Session for the Confirmation candidates. Then he interacted with the animators and the coordinator of the 20 pastoral Commissions and the Parish Finance Council members.
On 07th January, the Confirmation Mass was celebrated by the Bishop. 17 youth received the Sacrament of Confirmation. In his homily, the bishop emphasized on the importance of spiritual and family life.
After the Mass, the Bishop had a series of meetings with the various Apostolic Associations, namely Altar boys, Missionary Children’s Society members, ICYM, YCS, Catholic Sabha; SVP, Sthree Sanghatan. Later he paid a visit to a few sick of the parish. Then he attended the Small Christian Community meeting in one of the wards. The Pastoral Visit concluded on Sunday 07thwith a Prayer Service.
