The Bishop of Udupi, Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo, was on his Pastoral Visit to St Theresa Church, Kera, on 2nd & 3rd December, 2023. Rev. Fr Paul Cutinha, Parish Priest of Kera and the parishioners extended a warm welcome to the Bishop.
After the preliminary rites, the Bishop visited the cemetery and conducted the prayer service. The Bishop had a session on Catechism for the children who were to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Then He interacted with the Parish Finance committee members.
On 3rd December, the Mass of Confirmation was celebrated with great joy. 13 children received the Sacrament. In his homily, the bishop emphasized the importance of family life.
After the Mass, the Bishop had a series of meetings with several groups, namely, Catholic Sabha, SVP, Sthree Sanghatan; Parish Pastoral Council and coordinators of the 20 commissions. Later he visited the sick. The Pastoral Visit concluded on Sunday, the 3rd , with a Prayer Service.
