Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo celebrated the Mass of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary popularly known as Monthi Fest at Stella Maris Church, Kalmady on 8 September 2023.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese blessed the new corn at the Grotto. Later, a procession was taken to Stella Maris Church during which flowers were offered to Mother Mary. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by the Bishop. Rev. Fr Baptist Menezes, the Parish Priest of Kalmady Church preached the homily. In his homily Fr Baptist Menezes highlighted the qualities of Mother Mary with an invitation to inculcate them in everyone’s life. After the mass, the bishop extended festal greetings to the Parishioners.
