Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 71 Children of Mother of Sorrows Church Udupi on 25st June, 2023.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo celebrated the holy Eucharist along with V. Rev. Fr Charles Menezes, Parish Priest of Udupi Parish; Rev. Fr Roy Lobo, Asst. Parish Priest of Udupi Parish and Rev. Fr Johnson Sequeira, Principal of St Mary’s CBSE School Udupi. In his homily, the bishop spoke on the importance of the Sacrament of Confirmation in one’s spiritual growth. He also said that the Sacrament of Confirmation sanctifies, empowers and prepares the faithful to face the spiritual challenges of life. The sacrament of Confirmation makes one, the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Bishop spoke on the 7 gifts and 12 fruits of the Holy Spirit which are gratuitous from God to live a life of holiness.
