Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi laid foundation stone for the Orphanage Building at Diocesan Shrine Kerekatte on the occasion of the feast of St Antony on 13th June 2023.
The Solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi along with Rev. Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Vicar General of Udupi Diocese; V. Rev. Fr Sunil Veigas, Rector of the St Antony’s Shrine; V. Rev. Fr Stany Tauro, Dean of Kundapur deanery; a host of priests from across the deanery. Rev. Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, broke the Word of God and preached a meaningful homily. After the Holy Mass, novena was conducted by the Bishop. V. Rev. Fr Sunil Veigas thanked the donors and the sponsors. Around 5000 devotees of St Antony were present for the feast. Festal Meal was served to all the devotees.
