The faithful of Holy Rosary Church, Kundapur, Relatives and Friends of V. Rev. Fr Stany Tauro gathered together for a Thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration on the occasion of his Golden Jubilee of Priesthood and Platinum Birthday on 7th May 2023.

V. Rev. Fr Stany offered the thanksgiving Mass along with Rev. Fr Charles Menezes, Dean of Udupi Deanery and priests from Udupi and Mangalore. He thanked God for the 75 precious years of life and for the gift of 50 years of Priesthood. He also thanked God for the blessings he received from his loving family, friends and relatives. Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop Emeritus of Diocese of Mangalore was present for the holy Eucharistic celebration.

Later, a felicitation program was organized by the Parishioners and family members to make the Jubilee of their Priest a memorable one. The programme began with welcome dance by children of the parish. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese;V. Rev. Fr Stany Tauro, Parish Priest of Kundapur and Dean of Kundapur Deanery; Rev. Fr Ashwin Aranha, Asst. Parish Priest of Holy Rosary Church Kundapura; Sr Violet Tauro, Sister of V. Rev. Fr Stany Tauro; Mrs Shallet Rebello, Vice-president of Parish Pastoral Council of Kundapura Church; Mrs Asha Carvalho, Secretary; Mrs Prema D’Cunha, Co-ordinator of 20 Pastoral commissions of Kundapura and others were present on the dais.

Sr Violet Tauro celebrated ruby jubilee of her final profession. Sr Violet Tauro and V. Rev. Fr Stany Tauro celebrated their jubilee together by cutting the cake. Sr Violet Tauro wished health and happiness to her brother V. Rev. Fr Stany Tauro. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese congratulated V. Rev. Fr Stany and felicitated him on behalf of Udupi Diocese. Rev. Fr Stany Tauro was also felicitated by Parishioners and family members.

Mr Wilson Olivera from Kundapur sang a melodious wishing song composed by him in honour of Fr Stany along with Parish Choir team.

Rev. Fr Stany expressed his feelings of gratitude and thanked all those who supported and helped to make the event memorable one. It was a day filled with feelings of gratitude, happiness and joy. The presence and participation of the parishioners, relatives and friends was commendable.

Rev. Fr Ashwin Aranha welcomed the gathering and Mrs Asha Carvalho proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. L. J. Fernandes and Felciana D’Souza compered the programme. Fellowship meal was served to all those who attended the programme.
