The annual Pastoral Consultation of the clergy of the Diocese of Udupi was held at ‘ANUGRAHA’, Udupi Diocesan Pastoral centre, Kakkunje on 06th October, 2021. Diocesan and Religious priests took part in the consultation along with the Bishop.
The Consultation was inaugurated by Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo. In his inaugural address he said that it was heartening to see so many priests taking time out to take part in the consultation. He invited the members to take active part in the half a day deliberation.
The sessions that followed included,
- I Session: Pastoral Issues
- II Session: The Finances Act 2022 and its implications by Mr Sunil Gonsalves, C.A.
- III Session: PWS Annual General Body Meeting
The Consultation ended with the concluding message by the Bishop. Rev. Fr Stany B. Lobo, Parish Priest of Udyavar was the moderator for the discussion on the pastoral issues. Rev. Fr Vijay D’Souza, Asst. Parish Priest of Pangla compeered the program and Rev. Dr Leslie D’Souza, Secretary of Council of Priests proposed vote of thanks. Rev. Fr Baptist Menezes, Rector of Vailankanni Shrine Kalmady led the prayer service. V. Rev. Fr Herald Pereira, Director of Pastoral Centre took care of the logistics.
