The Titular Feast of St Anthony’s of Padua was celebrated at St. Anthony’s Shrine at Kerekatte near Siddhapura on 13th June, 2016 with much fervour and devotion. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi was the main celebrant. The others present were Very Rev. Fr Joseph Martis, Rector St Joseph Seminary Mangaluru, Very Rev. Fr Anil D’Souza, Dean of Kundapur Deanery, Very Rev. Fr Stany B. Lobo, Dean of Kallianpur Deanery, Very Rev. Fr Stany Tauro, Dean of Shirva Deanery, Very Rev. Fr Fred Mascarenhas, Dean of Udupi Deanery, Rev. Fr Lawrence C. D’Souza, Secretary of CESU, Kundapur deanery priests and other guest priests. During the homily Rev. Fr Joseph Martis preached a meaningful homily.
After the Mass Bishop also appreciated the good work done by the Rector of the Shrine Rev. Fr Xavier Pinto.
Fr. Xavier Pinto briefed the devotees about the services of the shrine during the year. Around four thousand devotees of St. Anthony participated in this Festal Mass.
