The Vicar General Msgr Baptist Menezes having completed 40 years of Priesthood celebrated the Ruby Jubilee on Sunday, 26 October with a concelebrated Eucharistic Celebration at Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi. The bishop Most Rev Gerald Lobo presided over the Holy Mass. After mass, on behalf of all priests, Religious and Faithful of the diocese, the Bishop felicitated Msgr Baptist Menezes. After the mass there was a fellowship meal.
