Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus Christ’s entry into Jerusalem before he was arrested and crucified, was celebrated at St. Theresa Church, Kemman On Sunday, March 24, 2024.
The palm blessing ceremony was held near Maria Goretti Convent, Kemman. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, led the prayer service and blessed the palms. Devotees took out processions on main roads holding palm leaves and participated in special masses.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo celebrated the Holy Eucharist along with Rev. Fr Philip Neri Aranha, Parish Priest of St Theresa Church, Kemman, and guest Priest Rev. Fr Dominic Lobo, Principal of Trinity Central School, Perampally. The Bishop preached the homily about Jesus Christ's difficulties, pain, and death.
