Rev. Fr Denzil Lobo took charge as the Defender of the Bond of the Udupi Diocesan Ecclesiastical Tribunal, Mr Gerald Pinto, Retired Principal of the Milagres College as Director of Commission for Laity and Mrs Gracy Coelho, Udupi Diocesan President of the Sthree Sangatan as the Director of Women Commission at Bishop’s Chapel on 15th July 2023.
Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Udupi, conducted the prayer service and presided over the oath taking ceremony held in the Bishop’s Chapel. Rev. Fr Denzil Lobo is also the Asst. Parish Priest of Bendur Parish and Judge at Mangalore Ecclesiastical Tribunal. Mr Gerald Pinto took over the charge from Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves. Mrs Gracy Coelho from Attur Parish, took charge as the Director of Women Commission. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi in his felicitation speech congratulated the new office bearers and wished them well in there new ministry. Rev. Fr Reginald Pinto, the Spiritual Director of Women Commission, V. Rev. Fr Roshan D'Souza, Chancellor of Udupi Diocese were present. 20 Pastoral Commissions in the Diocese are working towards the implementation of the Pastoral Plan ‘Mission 2025’. We wish the very best to Rev. Fr Denzil Lobo, Mr Gerald Pinto and Mrs Gracy Coelho in their respective ministries.
