The Platinum birthday of Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza was celebrated at Infant Jesus Church, Pilar on Sunday, May 5th, 2024.
The Solemn Eucharist was celebrated with the main celebrant Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza, along with Rev. Fr Valerian Mendonca, Dean of Kallianpur Deanery; Rev. Fr Jerald Sandeep D’Mello, Parish Priest of Palimar; Rev. Fr Frederick D’Souza, Parish Priest of Mudarangadi; Rev. Fr William Barboza, Brother of John Alfred Barboza; Rev. Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest of Pernal Church; Rev. Fr Mark, Priest from Pilar parish, and the parishioners and guests. V. Rev. Fr Valerian Mendonca preach the homily. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, presented the Holy Eucharist celebration.

Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza, along with his family members, cut the cake for his platinum birthday. V. Rev. Fr Leslie D’Souza congratulated and wished a happy birthday to Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza on behalf of Shirva Deanery. Rev. Fr William Barboza congratulated and wished a happy birthday to Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza on behalf of the family members. Pilar parishioners and family members felicitated Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza on this occasion.
Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza expressed his feelings and thanked all the parishioners for celebrating this birthday.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo addressed the gathering and wished a happy birthday to Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza. On behalf of Udupi Diocese, the bishop felicitated Rev. Fr John Alfred Barboza.
The Vice President of Pilar Pastoral Council welcomed the gathering, and the Secretary of Pilar Pastoral Council proposed a vote of thanks. A fellowship meal was served to all those who attended the program.
