Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 50 Children of Mount Rosary Church Santhekatte on 17th September, 2023.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo celebrated the Holy Eucharist along with Rev. Dr Roque D’Souza, the Parish Priest of Mount Rosary Church and Rev. Fr Oliver Nazreth, Asst. Parish Priest. In his homily, the bishop spoke on the importance of the Sacrament of Confirmation in one’s spiritual growth. He also said that the Sacrament of Confirmation sanctifies, empowers and prepares the faithful to face the spiritual challenges of life. The sacrament of Confirmation makes one, the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Bishop spoke on the 7 gifts and 12 fruits of the Holy Spirit which are gratuitous from God to live a life of holiness.
