Udupi Diocesan level Moment of Marian Prayer for the Synodal Journey was held at the Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Vailankanni, Kalmady on Wednesday, 31 May 2023.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese led the prayer service as response to the request of the General Secretariat of Synod in Rome on the occasion of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the conclusion of the Marian Month. The prayer service began with the devotion of Holy Rosary at 05:00 PM. V. Rev. Fr Baptist Menezes, Rector of the Shrine preached the sermon and invited all to invoke Mary for accompanying us on the synodal journey. Rev. Fr Stephan D’Souza, convener, Synod 2021-2024, Udupi Diocese and a good number of devotees participated in the prayer service.
