The faithful of St Lawrence Church, Moodubelle, relatives and friends of Rev. Fr George Thomas D’Souza gathered together for a Thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration on the occasion of the Ruby Jubilee of Priesthood on 23rd May 2023.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese presided over the Holy Eucharist along with Rev. Fr George D’Souza, Parish Priest of St Lawrence Church Moodubelle; Rev. Fr Pradeep Cardoza, Asst. Parish Priest of Moodubelle; Rev. Fr Roy Lobo, Asst. Parish Priest of Udupi Church and other guest priests. Rev. Fr Roy Lobo broke the Word of God and preached the homily. Rev. Fr George D’Souza thanked God for the precious gift of life and for the gift of 40 years of Priesthood. He also thanked God for the blessings he received from his loving family, friends and relatives. Later, a felicitation programme was organized by the parishioners and family members to make this event a memorable one.

Rev. Fr George D’Souza lighted the lamp with the dignitaries followed by cutting the cake. Mr Prithesh D’Sa raised the toast and wished good health and happiness to Rev. Fr George D’Souza. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo congratulated Rev. Fr George and felicitated on behalf of the Diocese of Udupi.
Rev. Fr George expressed his feelings and thanked all those who supported and helped to make this program a memorable one. It was a day filled with feelings of gratitude, happiness and joy. The presence and participation of the parishioners, relatives and friends was commendable.
Mr Charles Quadros welcomed the gathering and Mrs Gracy Rebello proposed the vote of thanks. Mr Maxim D’Sa and Miss Siona D’Souza compered the programme. The programme was followed by the Fellowship meal.
