Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo paid his official Pastoral Visit to the Parish Priest and the faithful of St Pius X Church, Pius Nagar from 20 to 22th August 2016. He initiated the Pastoral Visit with a prayer service in the church and later in the cemetery. Prayers were offered for dear departed. After the prayer service, the Bishop met the members of the 18 commissions, Parish Finance Committee, Parish Pastoral Council.
Day two of the visitation day began with a solemn Eucharist in the Church during which the Bishop catechized the children and the adults on the sacrament of confirmation and the power of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He administered the sacrament of Confirmation to 37 Children of the parish. The Parish Priest of Pius Nagar Rev. Fr John Barboza con celebrated with the Bishop. After that bishop met the members of the Catholic Sabha, SVP, Third order and he visited the School. After the school visit, he addressed all the teachers. In the afternoon he met the members Altar Servers, YCS, ICYM. After the meeting bishop visited to St Ann’s Convent, Pius Nagar.
The third Began with the Mass in the Church. After the Mass the Bishop visited the sick. Then visit to the English Medium School. After the school visit he met all school teachers. Then he visit to the Carmel Chapel. After that Bishop concluded the pastoral visit with a concluding prayer service.
