Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo paid his official Pastoral Visit to the Parish Priest and the faithful of St John the Evangelist Church, Pangala from 29 to 31 August 2015. He initiated the Pastoral Visit with a prayer service in the church and later in the cemetery. Prayers were offered for dear departed. After the prayer service, Bishop met the Candidates of the sacrament Confirmation. Then followed the meeting with the Parish Finance Committee, Parish Pastoral Council and 18 pastoral commissions.

Day two of the visit began with the Solemn Eucharist during which he catechized the children and the adults about the sacrament of Confirmation and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He administered the sacrament of Confirmation to 94 Children of the parish. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr Leslie Clifford D’Souza and Principal Fr Vincent Coelho were present during the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration. After the Mass Mother Mary’s Novena was held and children offered flowers. Then, he met the members of SVP, Marian Sodality, Altar Servers, YCS, ICYM. In the Afternoon, the bishop met the members of the Catholic Sabha, Women Commission, and Teachers. He also attended the SCC ward meeting in one of the wards of the parish, followed by visit to the sick. 

The third day began with the Mass in the Convent. After the Mass Mother Mary’s Novena was held and children offered flowers. Then the bishop visited the High School and PUC Assembly, after which he attended Primary school Assembly. Then, he met all school teachers. In the Afternoon he met Family Commission, Bible, Catechetics, Proclamation and Evangelization Commission, Ecumenism and Inter-Religious Dialogue Commission and finally on 31 August Evening Bishop concluded his pastoral visit with a concluding prayer service.
