Don Bosco CBSE School Shirva was inaugurated and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi at Shirva on 23rd February, 2019.
Mr Oscar Ferandes inaugurated the CBSE School Building by cutting the ribbon. After the inauguration Bishop conducted Prayer service and blessed the school. Soon after the inauguration stage program began with welcome dance by Don Bosco School Children.

Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp with the dignitaries. V. Rev. Fr Denis D’Sa delivered the keynote address.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo addressed the gathering and said “Education is to refine sensitivity and perceptions that contribute to national cohesion, scientific temper and independence of mind and Spirit – thus furthering the goals of socialism, secularism and democracy enshrined in our Constitution” says National Policy on Education. Catholic Church has 171 Diocese through which it pursues the ministry of imparting knowledge to the young minds. For the Catholic Church Education is to teach the students to live, to discover the deeper meaning of life and of transcendence, to learn to interact with others, love creation, think freely and critically, find fulfillment in work, plan their future, or in one word to learn ‘to be’. It is in and though education that one can hope for a more human and humane future and a more harmonious society.
Monsignor Hilary Gonsalves was the great architect of this vision of educating children at Shirva. Trusting in divine providence and the protection of Our Lady of Health he established the school and priests who succeeded him continued his vision and mission in all earnestness. Therefore, as I recollect the past, I recognize with respect their foresight, zeal, hard work and determination in building Shirva educationally and for what it is today with a prayer to grant those who are deceased, eternal rest, and thank those who are with us: correspondents, Principals, Staff, generous, ever ready and enthusiastic parishioners and many others for playing a very positive and constructive role and part of the result of which is this monument of Don Bosco CBSE School building just inaugurated and the good news of the CBSE Affiliation we are celebrating.
He congratulated the esteemed management, staff and students; thanks to the parishioners, benefactors, donors and well wishers of this CBSE School and all our school and may god bless all of us and these our noble institutions.

Rev. Fr Mahesh D’Souza welcomed the gathering and Mr Wilson D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. After the stage program musical night started led by Mrs Anuradha Bhat and Ajay Warrier, celebrated Indian playback singers Mr Rajgopal led with dance performances from the film industry. Around 3000 people were present for the program.
