Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo paid his official Pastoral Visit to the Parish Priest and the faithful of Holy Cross Church Pamboor from 6 to 8th June 2015. He initiated the Pastoral Visit with a prayer service in the church and later in the cemetery. Prayers were offered for dear departed. After the prayer service Bishop met the Candidates of the sacrament Confirmation. Then followed the meeting with the Parish Finance Committee and Parish Pastoral Council. Since the day was also the birthday of the Parish priest, he was felicitated by the bishop and others which followed the celebration by cutting the birthday cake.
Day two of the visit began with the Solemn Eucharist during which he catechized the children and the adults about the sacrament of Confirmation and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He administered the sacrament of Confirmation to 36 Children of the parish. The Parish Priest of Pamboor Rev. Fr Paul Rego was present during the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration along with anther priests namely, Fr Nicholas Martis.
After the Mass he met with the members of Holy Childhood, Marian Sodality, Altar Servers, YCS, ICYM, Catholic Sabha, Catechsim Teachers, SVP. He also attended the SCC ward meeting in one of the wards of the Church.
The third day began with the Mass in the Convent followed by visit to Manasa Rehabilitation Center. Then the bishop visited the sick, met the Sthree Sanghatan members, the Family and Liturgy Commissions, SCC central committee, Third order, meeting of the extra-ordinary ministers of the distribution of communion and finally visit to the primary school. At 4.30 pm on 8th June Bishop concluded his pastoral visit with a concluding prayer service.
