A new chapel dedicated to St Padre Pio of the Capuchins of the Holy Trinity Province at Assisi Nilaya, Moodubelle was blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese on 23rd January 2020.
V. Rev. Fr John Alwyn Dias, the provincial and his councillors Rev. Fr Paul Melwyn D'Souza, Rev. Fr Peter Cyprian D'Souza and Rev. Fr Robin Victor D'Souza and several Capuchin friars were present.
V. Rev. Fr Valerian Mendonca, the dean, Rev. Fr Clement Mascarenhas, Parish Priest of St Lawrence Church, Moodubelle and a total of around 30 priests and a good number of people witnessed the blessing of the new chapel.
After the Mass a short stage programme held. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo, V. Rev. Fr Alwyn Dias, Rev. Melwyn D’Souza, Rev. Fr Valerian Mendonca, Rev. Fr Charles Furtado and Rev. Fr Valerian D’Silva were present on the dais.

Rev. Fr Charles Furtado welcomed the gathering and Rev. Fr Valerian D’Silva proposed vote of thanks. Rev. Fr Jason Pais compered the programme.
