Christmas season is one of those days that just seems to be filled with cheer and wonder. Whether you are celebrating a fun-filled or religious Christmas, your day is sure to be filled with happiness. Celebrating Christmas with friends and colleagues is the best thing one can ever do during Christmas time. With this Christmas spirit in mind, Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, organised a “Christmas Get-together” with media persons of Udupi district on Friday, December 20 at Bishop’s House.

Fr Chetan Lobo Public Relations officer of Udupi Diocese welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo by cutting the Christmas cake along with Mr Kumarchandra Additional Superintendent of Police Udupi District, Divakar Hiriyadka Treasurer of Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association, Fr Valerian Mendonca, Parish Priest of Mother of Sorrows Church Udupi, Fr Chetan Lobo PRO Udupi Diocese and Mr Michael Rodrigues, Media Coordinator Udupi Diocese.

Bishop Gerald in his message said that celebrating life is Christmas. “Love, happiness, peace and joy are the symbols of Christmas, which should prevail over the society in all walks of life. Peace and love should emerge from our hearts; only then will it leave a huge impact on society.”

Mr Kumarchandra Additional Superintendent of Police Udupi District, Divakar Hiriyadka Treasurer of Udupi District Working Journalist’s Association conveyed their Christmas wishes on the occasion.
