The Bishop of Udupi, Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Lobo was on Pastoral Visit to St Francis Assisi Church, Tallur from 13th to 15th May, 2023. Rev. Fr Edwin D’Souza, the Parish Priest and the parishioners extended a warm welcome to the Bishop.
On 14th May, Bishop celebrated the holy Eucharist along with Rev. Fr Edwin D’Souza. 30 children received the Sacrament of Confirmation. In his homily, the bishop emphasized on the importance of family life.
After the Mass, the Bishop met several groups, viz.; Missionary Children’s Association; Altar Boys; Youth; Parish Pastoral Council along with 20 commissions’ conveners. He also attended the Small Christian Community meeting in one of the wards.
On 15th the Bishop celebrated the holy Eucharist at Jayarani Convent Tallur. Later he visited the sick. Bishop had series of meetings with Catholic Sabha; SFO; SVP members.The Pastoral Visit concluded on Monday 15th with a Prayer Service.
