Diocesan level catechism da celebrated at ‘ANUGRAHA’ Udupi Diocesan Pastoral centre, Kakkunje, Ambagilu on 4th March, 2023.
On January 8th 2023 Divya Jyothi conducted the exam in Catechism for all the 10th Standard Students of our Diocese both in Konkani and English. 384 students wrote the exam and highest scorer from each school totally 32 students were honoured. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo was the president and Rev Fr. Roshan Dsouza and Mr. Valerian Lobo were the chief guests of the programme. The whole programme was conducted by the children themselves. Ancia lewis and Vinisha Dsouza of Mount Rosary School Santhekatte were the Masters of the Ceremony. Samantha Mascarenhas of St. Marys Kannarpady School welcomed the guests and Alvinia D’sa and Jonita Mendonca share their experience of the Catechism classes in their life. Mr. Joson Castelino Of Shirva Don Bosco School verbalized his feelings on Joy of Teaching Catechism in the Schools. Mr Valerian of Karkal Town Parish was honoured by the Bishop for his social service. The students also honoured our newly appointed Chancellor Rev Fr. Roshan Dsouza. After honouring the Top Scorers the Bishop in his message congratulated the students and parents for inspiring their children to learn and live the faith. Rev Fr. Vincent Crasta blessed the students who were preparing for their final exams. With the vote of thanks by Jewel Meril Dsouza of Mudarangady the programme concluded.
