Udupi Diocesan Level concluding ceremony of ‘Amoris Letitia Family Year’ was held at St Francis Xavier Church Udyavar on 26th June, 2022.
Mr Leslie Arouza, Director of Family Commission, Udupi Diocese gave a Keynote address to the youth. In his talk he spoke on issues like the role of youth in the family, how to come out of mobile addiction, how to boost the self-control, how to treat and respect the parents. He gave some tips for day to day life. Later panel discussion was held. Two questions were asked to the youth. The questions were – “What do you expect form the church?” and the second one is “what do you want to give to the church?” The youth leaders answered very beautifully. Later Mr Derick Mascarenhas, Udupi Diocesan Animator took a session on the topic, “How can we achieve our goal? How can we improve our self-confidence?”
After the session, the stage programme was held. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese; V. Rev. Fr Stany B. Lobo, the Chancellor of Udupi Diocese and Parish Priest of Udyavar; V. Rev. Fr Charles Menezes, Dean of Udupi Deanery; Mr Vivian Cornelio, Mrs Veronica Cornelio, Mr Inish Miranda, Mr Melwin, Mr Derick Mascarenhas and others were present on the dais.
Most Rev. Gerald Isaac Lobo, V. Rev. Stany B. Lobo and V. Rev. Fr Charles Menezes addressed the gathering. Mementos were given to all the convenors of parish Family Commission and Diocesan resource persons.
After the session Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo celebrated holy Eucharist along with V. Rev. Fr Stany B. Lobo; Rev. Fr Reginald Pinto, Director of Sampada; Rev. Fr Ronson D’Souza, Rector of Holy Cross Seminary Katapadi; Rev. Fr Leo Praveen D’Souza, Asst. Parish Priest of Udyavar. Rev. Fr Reginald Pinto preached the meaningful homily.
