The Bishop of Udupi, Rt. Rev. Dr. Gerald Lobo visited our lady of Perpetual Succour Church Parapady from 14th to 15th May, 2022. Rev. Fr Denis D’Souza, Parish Priest of Parapady Parish and the parishioners extended a warm welcome to him on 14th evening.
After the preliminary rites, the Bishop visited the cemetery for prayer service. Then the Bishop had meetings with finance committee members.
On 15th May, the Bishop celebrated the mass along with Rev. Fr Denis D’Souza and other two guest priests. The Bishop preached a meaningful homily on family.
After the Mass, the Bishop had meetings with several groups, viz. Altar Boys; Sthree Sanghatan; ICYM; YCS; Catholic Sabha; SFO; SVP and Parish Pastoral council. Bishop visit to the sick of the parish. He also attended the small Christian community meeting in one of the wards at Parapady.The Pastoral Visit concluded on Monday 09th with a Prayer Service.
