The Bishop of Udupi, Rt. Rev. Dr. Gerald Lobo visited Lourdes Church Kanajar from 12th to 14thMarch, 2022. Rev. Fr Vishal Lobo, Parish Priest of Kanajar Parish and the parishioners extended a warm welcome to him on 12th evening.
After the preliminary rites the Bishop visited the cemetery for prayer service. Then the Bishop had meetings with finance committee members.
On 13th March, the Bishop celebrated the mass along with Rev. Fr Vishal Lobo and another guest priest. Bishop preached a meaningful homily on family. 17 children were administered the Sacrament of Confirmation
After the Mass, the Bishop had meetings with several groups, viz. Altar Boys; Sthree Sanghatan; ICYM; YCS; Catholic Sabha; SFO; Legion of Mary, SVP and Parish Pastoral council.
On 14th morning the Bishop celebrated mass at Lourdes convent along with Rev. Fr Vishal Lobo. After the mass, the bishop visited Lourdes Central School during the school assembly and interacted with students. Later he met the school teachers and staff. The Pastoral Visit concluded on Monday 14th with a Prayer Service.
