The faithful of Christ King Church, Trasi, Relatives and Friends of Rev. Fr Charles Lewis gathered together for a Thanksgiving Eucharist on the occasion of his Golden Jubilee of Priesthood on 05thJanuary 2021.
Rev. Fr Charles offered the thanksgiving Mass along with V. Rev. Fr Stany Tauro, Dean of Kundapur Deanery and 20 priests from Udupi and Mangalore.V. Rev. Fr Walter D’Mello preached a meaningful homily.
Rev. Fr Charles thanked God for the precious gift of life and for the gift of 50 years of Priesthood. He thanked God for the blessings he received from his loving family, friends and relatives. Later, a felicitation program was organized by the Parishioners and family members to make the Golden Jubilee of their Priest a memorable one.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese; Rev. Fr Wilson D’Souza; Parish Pastoral Council Vice-President and Secretary and 18 Commissions Co-ordinator were present on the dais. Mr George D’Almeida raised the toast and wished health and happiness to Fr Charles Lewis.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo congratulated Rev. Fr Charles and felicitated on behalf of Udupi Diocese. Rev. Fr Charles Lewis was felicitated also by Parishioners and family members.
Rev. Fr Charles Lewis expressed his feelings and thanked all those who supported and helped this program to be a memorable one. It was a day filled with feelings of gratitude, happiness and joy. The presence and participation of the parishioners, relatives and friends was commendable.
