Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo paid his official Pastoral Visit to the Parish Priest and the faithful of Holy Rosary Church, Kundapur from 10 to 12th June 2016. He initiated the Pastoral Visit with a prayer service in the church and later in the cemetery. Prayers were offered for dear departed. After the prayer service, the Bishop met the members of the 18 commissions, Parish Pastoral Council.
Day two of the visitation began with the Mass in the St Joseph’s Convent. The Parish Priest of Kundapur Rev. Fr Anil D’Souza was present at the mass along with Asst. Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Jerald D’Mello. After the Mass the Bishop visited the sick. After that bishop met the members of the SCC central committee, Catholic Sabha, SVP, Third order and he visited the School. After the school visit, he addressed all the teachers. In the afternoon he met the members Altar Servers, YCS, ICYM and session for catechism the Confirmation candidates.
The third day began with a solemn Eucharist in the Church during which the Bishop catechized the children and the adults on the sacrament of confirmation and the power of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He administered the sacrament of Confirmation to 45 Children of the parish. The Parish Priest of Kundapur Rev. Fr Anil D’Souza along with anther priest namely, Rev. Fr Praveen Martis con celebrated with the Bishop. After the mass Bishop met the members of Parish Finance Committee, All Catechism Teachers. He also attended the SCC ward meeting in one of the wards of the Church. Finally concluded the pastoral visit with a concluding prayer service.
