Udupi Diocesan Health Commission and Shirva Deanery Health commission jointly organized Shirva deanery level Health commission gathering at Shirva on 26th November, 2018.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi; V. Rev. Fr Denis D’Sa, Health commission Director of Shirva deanery and Dean of Shirva Deanery; Rev. Dr Praveen Leo Lasrado, Professor, Moral Theology, St Joseph’s Seminary, Mangalore; Rev. Fr Rockwin Pinto, Professor, Moral Theology, St Joseph’s Seminary, Mangalore; Dr Edward Lobo, Udupi Diocesan Director of Health Commission; Mrs. Gretta Menezes, Shirva Deanery Secretary of Health Commission; Mr Wilson D’Souza, Vice President of Shirva Parish Pastoral Council were present on the dais.
The Program began with a prayer song by Mrs. Flavia and Team. Most Rev. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo along with dignitaries inaugurated the program by open the tools of doctors and lighting the lamp with the dignitaries. Dr Edward Lobo and Most Rev. Gerald Isaac Lobo spoke on the occasion.
After the stage program Rev. Dr Leo Praveen Lasrado made a power point presentation on the topic of Human dignity and respect for life in relation to the resent Supreme Court Judgment on Euthanasia. Later Dr Leslie Lewis, Pediatrician, KMC Manipal, made a power point presentation on the topic of duties and responsibility of Catholic doctors, nurses and paramedics towards the Church. After that Rev. Fr Rockwin Pinto made a power point presentation on the topic of Challenges for effective Health Care in India.
V. Rev. Fr Denis D’Sa welcomed the gathering and Mrs Gretta Menezes proposed vote of thanks.
