Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese inaugurated UZWALA Women federation of Brahmavar Taluk at Milagres Tri Centenary Hall, Kallianpur on 31^st October, 2018.

Fr Reginald Pinto, Spiritual Director of Women Commission, Udupi Diocese; Sr Janet Fernandes, Director of Women Commission, Udupi Diocese; Mrs Janet Barboza, President of Sthree Sanghatan, Udupi Diocese; Rev. Fr Jerald Sandeep D’Mello, Spiritual Director of Kallianpur Deanery; Mrs Jyothi Lewis, Kallianpur Deanery President of Sthree Sanghatan; Mrs Lucy Furtado, Kallianpur Deanery Secretary of Sthree Sanghatan; Sr Rose Florine D’Souza, Animator of the Kallianpur Deanery and others were present on the Dais.

The Program began with the prayer by the members of women federation. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo along with dignitaries inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. He addressed the gathering and said, "Women should come up with self-help groups and take advantage of them to come to mainstream society.” 

Rev. Fr Reginald Pinto, V. Rev. Fr Lawrence D’Souza, Sr Janet Fernandes, Rev. Fr Jerald Sandeep D’Mello, Mrs Janet Barboza spoke on the occasion. After the stage program cultural program was held by members of women federation.

Mrs. Jyothi Lewis welcomed the gathering, Mrs. Lucy Furtado proposed vote of thanks. Mrs. Veronica Cornelio compered the program.
