It was the privilege of Sacred Heart Church, Yermal to receive the Bishop of Udupi, Most Rev. Gerald Lobo for their pastoral visit on 12th August, 2017. The parishioners and Rev. Fr Lawrence Rodrigues, Parish Priest extended to him a warm welcome. This was followed by Prayer Service in the Church and visit to the Cemetery. He held a class for confirmation children. He also visited the sick in the parish and gave them the Holy Communion.
The Confirmation Mass was celebrated on Sunday the 13th of August. This was followed by meetings with the various associations of the parish, viz. Altar Servers, Stree Sangatan, Catholic Sabha, St. Vincent De Paul Society, Tertiaries and ICYM. He also held meetings with the Parish Finance Committee and Parish Pastoral Council members. He also attended one ward meeting of Small Christian Community after the ward meeting he met with the Coordinators of 18 Commissions.
The Pastoral visit was concluded on Sunday the 13th and after the Prayer Service, the Bishop returned to the Bishop’s House.
