It was the privilege of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Mundkur to receive the Bishop of Udupi, Most Rev. Gerald Lobo for the pastoral visit on 17th March, 2018. The parishioners and the Parish Priest extended to him a warm welcome. He was then led to the church in a procession which was followed by a Prayer Service and visit to the Cemetery. He held a class for confirmation children. He also held meeting with the Parish Finance Committee members. He also visited the sick in the parish and gave them the Holy Communion.
The Confirmation Mass was celebrated on Sunday the 18th of March. A total of 8 children were confirmed. This was followed by meetings with the various associations of the parish, Sthree Sangatan, Altar Servers and Holy Childhood Society, YCS, ICYM, Catholic Sabha and Catechism Teachers. The Bishop met the Coordinators of 18 Commissions. He attended one ward meeting of Small Christian Community.
The Pastoral visit concluded on Sunday the 18th with a Prayer Service, after which the Bishop returned to the Bishop’s House.
